About the recipe:

We all love it, we all like it – the mash is something loved by all. I still remember the days when we used to be little, sitting in grandma's kitchen after a tiring pool day waiting for our bowls of mash, to today when we have created our variations with hearts of palm– try this Rosemary and Garlic Infused Mash, an all-time favorite. If you're wondering, what the heck are hearts of palm? they're a delicious, nutritious ingredient.

What are you waiting for? Get your apron on and put up your gloves; it's to get started. Don't forget to wear your chef hat – it helps you get into the chef's mood. Isn't that all that matters? It is!

Here’s what you need:

  • One package of Natural Heaven Creamy Mash
  • One tablespoon of dairy-free butter
  • One tablespoon of garlic-infused olive oil
  • Few sprigs of fresh chopped rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • One bag (approx. 16 ounces) of shrimp
  • Two to three tablespoons of dairy-free butter
  • Juice of One lemon
  • A handful of fresh chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Here’s how to go about it:

Step # 1: Start off by preparing the Natural Heavy Creamy Mash made of hearts of palms using following the directions on the box.

Step # 2: Once done, add in one tablespoon of dairy-free butter, and one tablespoon of garlic-infused olive oil to a bowl and microwave until hot. Then, add in your fresh rosemary and salt and pepper to taste.

Step # 3: Next off, for the shrimp scampi – start by heating the dairy-free butter and add the shrimps. Let it simmer for a while to enhance its taste! If you’re feeling adventurous, try tossing in some hearts of palm for a mild, slightly nutty flavor.

Step # 4: Now add in lemon, salt, pepper, and sauté shrimp until cooked through. Finish by garnishing with fresh parsley.

Step # 5: Serve the shrimp scampi over your mash and enjoy the day!

Chef’s Tip of the Day:

Before adding in the shrimps, sauté them in a separate pan on high heat to make them tender and juicy and give the best texture. This ensures that the shrimps are without any stringy chewiness. Furthermore, to enhance flavor, add in a teaspoon of soya sauce and some herbs – this gives an amazing taste. If you're still wondering, what are hearts of palm? They are a fantastic, versatile ingredient derived from the inner core of certain palm trees. They bring a delicate, slightly tangy taste that complements this dish perfectly!
