Heart of Palm Angel Hair with Tomato and Basil Sauce

Ingredients

1 package hearts of palm angel hair 

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper


Directions

 12 minutes prep and cook time.

Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).

2. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften and begin to break down, about 5-7 minutes. If desired, add a splash of white wine and let it simmer for a minute. Incorporate the heart of palm angel hair into the skillet.

3. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring gently to combine and heat through.

4. Sprinkle with fresh basil before serving.
